Aaand, here’s a bonus one! The show was supposed to be named “Spongeboy Ahoy!” (wtf), but apparently there was a gang by the name of “Spongeboy”, so the creators changed it to Spongebob Squarepants. Actually, Spongebob looks like a block of Swiss cheese, and they wanted to stick with a name that had “sponge” in it, so they finally settled on the name we so love and cherish.
