Inventions By Women – Chocolate Chip Cookie
In 1930, it was Ruth Wakefield who was whipping up a batch of cookies when she ran out of baker’s chocolate. In a hurry, she roughly crumbled up a bar of chocolate into the batter, hoping that it would melt during the baking process. However, it didn’t and the result was what would be known in the future as Chocolate Chip Cookies. This is one part of history that we love.
